Every Summer and Winter holidays, Sunshine Coast Youth Theatre runs Musical Theatre Camps. The aim of the Camps is to provide high quality training to young performers, whilst giving them the practical experience of working on a show.

Previous Camps
Sunshine Coast Youth Theatre has staged Summer and Winter Camps since 2011.
The aim of Camp is to provide students with a platform to learn the skills of Musical Theatre, develop their confidence, and put into practice all they learn through a practical performance at the end.
Previous productions have included: The SpongeBob Musical, Frozen Jr, Newsies, The Addams Family, The Sound of Music, Oliver, Grease and The Wizard of Oz to name a few!
Students from as young as Grade 1, all the way through to 18 years of age have been able to participate and experience the joy of theatre.
Upcoming Camps
Sunshine Coast Youth Theatre is back in January 2025 for our Summer Camp… and it’s a Camp with a twist!
A whirlwind of holiday fun for those who love to sing, dance and act - join SCYT as we rehearse and stage a musical, all in 48 hours! Summer Camp participants will sign up without knowing what the show is, and will find out the musical only 48 hours before our audience arrives!
Summer Camp is open to those between Prep - 18 years of age (in 2025). All levels of experience are welcome - the more the merrier at SCYT!
Lead roles have been cast via audition. For those who just wish to participate in the Camp and Ensemble, you will be able to just sign straight up.
Summer Camp will take place from 17th-19th January 2025.

For those wishing to sign up straight up to Camp and as a valued Ensemble member, there is no audition required! Simply head to our Online Registration system. Once you have created an account here, you will be able to secure your place in the show by following the online booking.
The 48 Hour Musical Summer Camp is only $120 for Ensemble members, and $240 for those with lead roles.

Fees include all tuition, rehearsal materials and a show memento.
