Musical Theatre Camps

Every Summer and Winter holidays, Sunshine Coast Youth Theatre runs Musical Theatre Camps. The aim of the Camps is to provide high quality training to young performers, whilst giving them the practical experience of working on a show.

Previous Camps

Sunshine Coast Youth Theatre has staged Summer and Winter Camps since 2011.

The aim of Camp is to provide students with a platform to learn the skills of Musical Theatre, develop their confidence, and put into practice all they learn through a practical performance at the end.

Previous productions have included: Legally Blonde, The SpongeBob Musical, Frozen Jr, Newsies, The Addams Family, The Sound of Music, Oliver, Grease and The Wizard of Oz to name a few!

Students from as young as Grade 1, all the way through to 18 years of age have been able to participate and experience the joy of theatre.

Sunshine Coast Youth Theatre will be back in January 2027 with our next holiday Camp!

Lead roles for our shows are cast via open audition. For those who just wish to participate in the Ensemble of our Camps, you will be able to just sign straight up as a valued Ensemble member; no audition required!

Simply head to our Online Registration system. Once you have created an account here, you will be able to secure your place in the show by following the online booking as soon as bookings open.
